The first chapter of Boot Hill Heroes is now out on Steam, for only $4.49!
If you’re not familiar with the title, it’s an indie RPG made by the company Experimental Gamer, that pays homage to old SNES RPGs like Earthbound and Final Fantasy, but retains a Spaghetti Western setting; it also has multiplayer! If you’re a fan of any of those aforementioned things I sincerely recommend you pick it up. It’s got a fantastic story, fast paced combat system, and fantastic music ( done by Shovel Knight’s composer), and it’s really worth a look.
You can learn more about it here, or check it out on Steam.
Considering how badly Westerns are represented in most media now, maybe supporting this little gem will help bring more of those types of games to the spotlight some day.
Still not done decorating the apartment. Got a few more things to put up. Third one is from the back porch that has more lights and stuff but I couldn’t get a good shot.
"By sheer utter accident, Wildcard could not have never foreseen Weaver learning about a certain someone. His jaw had not gone slack nor mentioned her name throughout any inebriated state he may have endured through the griffon’s “tale” as it were. But here she was, staring now at a tome that the avian had opened watching in disbelief at the shootout with that stallion.
Sweet Cream did her best not to say a word, knowing it would only further Weaver’s ammunition or put Wildcard in an even worse predicament than before. As she attempted to ignore the prodding and questioning, and work out a possible way to help her friend from the outside.”
A lot of people here probably didn’t follow this blog back when I had an actual storyline brewing. The Weaver was a character I created to be an antagonist for Wild Card. He was an immense gryphon that was a spirit who represented something in the same vein as Discord, in this instance: Storytelling and Fables. Specifically, he was a weaver of stories and keeper of all tales written and unwritten. He had an enchanted tome that could do numerous things, including bringing things that were written in it to life. He thrives on creativity and creative individuals, and stirs up emotions (aka trouble) not for some sick thrill, but because of his passion to see an amazing story unfold.
He was intent on making WC his personal ‘protagonist’ in a horror story which he intended to be his magnum opus. More obsessive than outright insane, he was going to be a blight on WC’s life and criminal career, and if I had gotten that storyline really going he would’ve definitely messed with Sweet Cream , like shown above.
Unfortunately I canned that storyline awhile ago for a multitude of different reasons. I’d like to bring Weaver back one day, but for now I’ll just thank bonusjosh for scribbling this awesome thing with his usual huge amount of talent. Thanks bro!
Dunno what I’m doing.
Damn, human WC looks foooine. AND SO DOES SC <3
PS, I’m now the King of Halloween and need you all to pay tribute now.
Got a new booze cup for the Halloween season — WITH A CRAZY STRAW. I’ve already started decorating ‘cause I don’t need no man to TELL me what to do *snap snap*.
And yeah I really like honey whiskey. Hey, there’s vodka in that crystal decanter, too. But not for long.
